U4GM What to Farm in T15 Maps for Currency and Waystones

Once you've muscled your way into Tier 15 maps, you notice the pace isn't "mapping" anymore—it's triage. You're watching cooldowns, scanning corners, and praying your movement skill doesn't snag on a vine. If you're trying to keep your PoE 2 Currency flow steady, you can't drift through these runs; the jungle-style layouts in particular love to hide a nasty pack right where you want to dash, and one bad stop can cost you a portal.

Speed matters more than pride

People talk about damage, but in T15s it's your clear rhythm that keeps you alive. You want enough AoE to delete the front line, and enough speed to never stand still for the back line. When the screen fills with elites, you're not "tanking," you're repositioning—little steps, quick turns, then burst. And if your build needs a full second to ramp, you feel it immediately. You'll start cutting corners: skip a dead-end, don't chase a straggler, don't loot mid-fight. It sounds boring, but it's how you stop a map from turning into a slow, expensive mess.

Stacking encounters without bricking the run

The real money comes from layering mechanics, but there's a right way to do it. First, pop Breach when you've already cleared a safe pocket, because the flood is instant and it'll pull you into bad angles if you're greedy. Those splinters and tablets add up fast, and they're easy to sell or roll into deeper content later. Second, if you find an Inscribed Ultimatum, read it properly. Don't just click and hope. Some mods are fine, some are a build check, and a couple are basically a "lose all momentum" button. Third, hunt Abyssal Troves and big armouries when you can do it without backtracking; targeted loot feels great, but wasted time is still wasted.

Loot isn't just orbs, it's stability

Sure, Chaos and Alchs keep the lights on, but T15s start paying you in the stuff that actually changes your crafting options—Regals, Vaals, and the occasional Exalt that makes the whole session feel worth it. I've also seen more higher-tier Augmentation drops than I expected, which is handy when you're polishing gear instead of replacing it. And don't sleep on raw gold. A chunky encounter payout can carry you through a dry streak and lets you keep rolling maps without that "well, I'm broke now" feeling.

Handling rares and keeping the loop going

Rares are where runs fall apart. One minute you're cruising, the next it's flame walls, shock procs, and some extra cold damage tossed in for spite. When that happens, you slow down, pull it to a cleaner area, and stop trying to face-check. The upside is real: these monsters are how you see strong crafting bases and, just as important, how you sustain your Tier 15 Waystones so you're not forced to drop down. Add in catalysts and the odd niche omen, and the loop starts feeding itself—especially if you're willing to take a smart shortcut now and then, or even top up through poe2 buy gold when you're trying to stay in T15s without interrupting your momentum.
